Ø HALVØ
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
Paper Island is situated on the Copenhagen inner harbor, adjacent to the Royal Danish Opera House and across from the Playhouse. It currently serves as a home to design practices, artist studios, storage and mechanical facilities. There is a strong industrial character which dominates the site reminding one of its industrial past. There will be a future desire to increase density and provide mixed use to the site in order to further integrate the site with the existing fabric and retain the ideals of smart growth and development. Ø HALVØ meaning east harbor strategically addresses the future needs and demands of the site.
